STEM Robotics Stars from Thiruvananthapuram, Shine on Global Stage

A team of 20 talented students from Thiruvananthapuram brought pride to Kerala by securing second and third place at the prestigious Singapore International Robotics Challenge. Representing STEM Robotics International, the students showcased their robotics expertise at this global event organized by the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) in collaboration with the Singapore Science Centre.

The Singapore International Robotics Challenge is a premier international platform that tests innovation, technical skills, and problem-solving abilities in real-world robotics challenges. Participants from across the globe design, build, and program robots capable of performing complex tasks in dynamic environments.

This year’s competition was conducted alongside SMORPHI 2025, Singapore’s largest national school robotics competition, offering students a unique opportunity to demonstrate their skills on both national and international stages.

The team, led by A. H. Rajasekharan, founder of STEM Robotics International, included Nivedith J. B., Muhammad Yahya Anas, Adith Nair, Sidharth S. Nair, Alvin Ajeesh, Manav Nair, Abhinav P., Aryaman Pillai, Muhammad Shan, Rayyan Sharfaz Sait, Savio Saxon, Dev Nandan Deepak, Ashwin Nair A., Tharunraj M., Hanah Hussain, M. Yazhini, Joseph John, Evaan Jobby, Yuvan Kishore, and Adithyan B.

After successfully clearing the initial online rounds, the students advanced to the on-site competition in Singapore, competing as four teams – Robo Masters, Robo Minds, Robo Minions, and Robo Falcon – across three challenging categories: the Autonomous Challenge, Pilot Challenge, and Imaginary Challenge.

Facing over 35 international teams, the students’ remarkable performance earned them top positions, highlighting STEM Robotics International’s commitment to nurturing young innovators and bringing pride to both Thiruvananthapuram and the state of Kerala.
